Featured Artist: Robin Sussillo
Robin Sussillo, Artist and Designer

Robin Sussillo is an artist and designer whose connection to clay began in high school and has remained a steady thread throughout her creative life. She studied fine arts in college and spent a formative year abroad at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. She later earned a Master’s degree in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in New York City.
For 25 years, Robin worked as a residential interior designer in New York City and San Francisco. Her background in interior design continues to inform her ceramic practice, where an understanding of color, proportion, and materiality is central to her work.
Now based in Tesuque, New Mexico, Robin maintains a studio at her home, drawing daily inspiration from the region’s expansive skies, subtle desert textures, and quiet, shifting light. She also creates functional objects, including bowls, ring trays, and plant stands, each thoughtfully composed with distinctive glaze and surface combinations.
