I have been making art my whole life, at different times focusing on ceramics, fiber arts, papermaking, and now painting oil landscapes for the past 20 years. Largely self-taught, I began painting intensively in 2006, inspired by artists such as the Canadian Group of Seven, Emily Carr, Fairfield Porter, Maynard Dixon, as well as many contemporary painters.

My paintings speak to a sense of place and the landscapes I love – from the White Mountains of NH to the coastal islands of Maine, and more recently from travels out west. Many trips around the four corner states over the past decades - including an epic trip in our vintage VW Bus with time spent in Madrid - have provided a wealth of new imagery.
